Originally from the Isle of Wight, Paula studied at the IOW college, completing a hotel and catering diploma course. She left the island to travel Europe. During her travels she had various jobs in Greece and completed two ski seasons in Courchevel, France, running a family ski chalet. From there she returned to the UK, where she settled in St. Ives Cornwall and started working for a holiday letting agency. During this time, she completed a management diploma course to eventually become the office manager.

The move to Spain in 2009 was to meet up with her childhood sweetheart, who had moved there in 2003. After buying a house in the “campo” together and getting married Paula and her husband have embraced the Spanish lifestyle and endeavour to experience as much of Spain as they can.
